We're sitting ducks in the middle of a light industrial park. Sales people regularly ambush us. They don't care that we're busy- we're just one of a number they have to aim at until, according to some sales actuarial table somewhere, they bag the client.

Do we buy? Are we annoyed? Could they improve their odds?
No. Yes. YES!

A study conducted by Baylor University (betcha didn't know dogs can read) showed that prospective customers who receive a promotional product view the company AND its sales reps 52% more favorably than if they just pop in with a company brochure! Even more interesting, they'll be perceived as being 16% to 34% more competent.

Whoa! Wonder what the stats would have shown had the promotional product been these tea and chocolate calling cards? http://www.notjuststuff.com/pdfad.html

As for me, sales reps can drop in anytime. Most of the time I sleep right through the pitch, but I'll follow 'em home if they shoot me a doggie treat or two. Lesson learned?
